”Leaders Risk Lives By Minimizing The Coronavirus. Bolsonaro Is The Worst.
THE NOVEL coronavirus, which has now infected at least 1.8 million people in 185 countries, has become a global test of governance quality. The severity of the outbreak in many nations has depended on how well — or poorly — rulers have responded to it. The best performers so far have included New Zealand, Taiwan, South Korea and Germany, which have succeeded in greatly reducing infections and deaths through testing, contact tracing and lockdowns.

If you do a simple Internet search of the name “Terrence Hill” in Canada, you'll note the Crown Court lists the name as a vile paedophile and devious sexual offender. It may be a coincidence, but it does cause suspect of the so called “Local Legend” and he does post a lot regarding inflatable sex dolls...

Regarding the vile and devious Canadian “Lokal Legend” and if you do a more detailed Internet search. The name “Terrence Hill” was indeed arrested and convicted.

His infamous Crown Court public record is disgusting and was part of those actually documented on Canadian television: https://www.ctvnews.ca/w5/w5-investigation-canadian-pedophiles-travel-abroad-for-child-sex-1.1197763?cache=yesclipId104062%3FclipId%3D1691853?autoPlay=true

As many will attest that are regular readers, he constantly posts regarding his fixation in great detail of Brazilian toilet facilities and the attributes of transsexual inflatable sex dolls...

I certainly hope he seeks assistance before he harms anyone else: https://www.ctvnews.ca/w5/w5-investigation-canadian-pedophiles-travel-abroad-for-child-sex-1.1197763?cache=yesclipId104062%3FclipId%3D1691853?autoPlay=true

As I've been in charge of meals lately, last night I grilled a nice bife de chorizo which tonight's dinner is the chilled leftover thinly sliced with tomato chutney. I paired with a disappointing Toro De Piedra Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva 2017 which was very disappointing, however still very drinkable. (It was a gift, so it was a single encounter of this overrated label offered by Viña Requingua.)

To do a search on the Internet to confirm the data, one needs to enter a query with the subject's name + Canada and the results then can be clearly seen. Google and Bing both deliver results. (Please note that I am not asserting that it's the same person, but there is at least an individual in Canada with the same name.)

Try to ignore him if you can. He somehow equates farmers as beneath his level, which I find hilarious.

It was not too long ago that he boasted superior knowledge about naval semaphores and that he served in the military during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Canadian is also highly knowledgable about Brazil, having supposedly travelled there — lecturing a Brazilian on the complete lack of modern bathroom facilities.

“Lecturing Brazilian on the complete lack of modern bathroom facilities” That is a complete and utter misrepresentation. The only reason it came up was JB said I had no knowledge of Brazil. When this little tit bit was raised he insisted it wasn't so
JB “The only reason for receptacles - in 'public' bathrooms - is to throw the bulkier paper hand-towels
JB “He who claims all bathrooms in Brazil, … have poop receptacles, can be dismissed for being an idiot”
So just verify he is an absolute liar.
“Going to the Toilet in Brazil
Ana Gabriela Verotti Farah, The Brazil Business, 17 May 2013
Where Do I Put my Toilet Paper? Bathroom Bins
Some people complain about it and say that, besides being weird, this practice is also unhygienic, because people's dirty papers stay there together for a long time instead of being flushed. But it is not that bad. Actually, it is very normal. Simply because we usually don't just throw the paper in the bin; we put a plastic bag inside this bin, and when it gets full – which is the equivalent to say 'constantly' –, it is changed for a new, empty and clear one.
Brazilians don't usually throw away their toilet papers in the own toilet not only because of the trash bins, but also because we are taught that toilets can clog with paper. Also, the sewage system can't cope with the amount of toilet paper that would go straight to the water if it wasn't for the trash bins inside the bathrooms.”

Like Chicureo is a place, Eilean Siar is an island as the flag depicted makes obvious.

We used to have one of those automatic baking machines, which Madame finally gave away. The actual bread making labor of kneading and punching down the dough is a relaxing therapy for her. Fresh artisanal bread is the ultimate food accompaniment and I'm loving it.

The garden is still producing some wonderful heirloom tomatoes and the romaine lettuce is outstanding. The insulating of the melons has kept the remaining three still on the vine.

Today I've enjoyed buttered sourdough bread toast for breakfast, a smoked bacon, romaine lettuce and heirloom tomato sandwich again made with sourdough bread. Tonight's dinner this evening was a classic Cesar salad with large sourdough bread croutons (lightly fried in a garlic and herb olive oil) and a nice crisp Sauvignon Blanc I've recently detailed.

It is of Madame's opinion, sourdough bread has a far lower gluten content than commercial bread.

Like all independent members of the superior gender, her mood swings can be dramatic and I've learned to wisely to be patient and sympathetic. This lockdown has been a psychological challenge.

She's been making some very specialized pots for orchids that require special ventilation vents on the side. (Four of her creations are in the kiln this evening.)

I've become a habitual user of Microsoft Meeting video conferencing and have been organizing everything from my home. I can even get live feed from my UAVs as well as monitor all the farm webcams. It's such a surreal world we are experiencing now.

One thing that deeply concerns me is the economic impact on the poor. This lockdown has been a double edged sword.

Speaking of subterranean dwelling creatures: Gollum indeed “is merely a waste of pixels on our screens.” It's amazing what you find on an Internet search query. As I noted earlier, the name “Terrence Hill” resulted in some very unpleasant criminal associations of public record.

Doing a similar query of his alias “Gollum” results in literally volumes of references, including his real name: Sméagol Trahald. (Apparently related to his late cousin Déagol.)

The pots emerged from the kiln uncracked, which lightened Madame's spirit as she placed four more of her clay creations into le chambre d'enfer.

An interesting question. Drawing on my heritage.
My grandfather was a subsistence Crofter. It was my role to churn butter, feed hens and fetch water from the well.
We had sheep and a cow. The cow met all our needs from Crowdie to Cream.
My grandfather would travel to Stornoway once a year to sell wool.
Other than that - we ate what the land and sea could provide.
I think when this tragedy comes to an end. China will be vilified, and we will become less globalised.
I guess there will be a big reset button, where we start other and serial defaulters like Argentina can again walk away from their debts. Hey Ho

Madame prepared a wonderful le gigot d’agneau Pascal, which was originally planned for Pâques, and we'll be enjoying the leftovers for days. (Cold lamb sandwiches for tomorrow.) At the moment we're again enjoying a marvelous Viña Arboleda Carménère as the evening sets on what has been a beautiful day.

I had to look up Stornoway... I've always had a great affinity for the farmland of my family. My father's great-grandfather studied engineering in Edinburgh and migrated to Valparaiso to supervise steam-turbine repairs. One of his sons fell in love with my grandmother who emigrated with her family from Ayrshire. My mother's grandfather grew up in Aberdeenshire and literally “jumped” his ship in Valparaiso.

The word we use for a mongrel dog here is “kiltro” which best describes my mixed heritage, but also explains why many of our family studied at British schools. In the Allende land reform aftermath, my family was near bankruptcy and the Chilean naval school was offering full scholarships to fluent English applicants.

Later in life, I became closely involved in working with my counterparts in Mare Harbour and Mount Pleasant, but sadly I have never visited the islands.

I think we'll see worldwide repercussions against the Chinese and I agree with your assessments, but globalism will reman an important part of our life. It's important to allow for people to recover from looks like a severe economic recession/depression. (Le bête noire my partner refers as...)

Regarding the nasty reference by the “merely a waste of pixels on our screens” about Pinochet, I have always remained open and honest about my views of the 1973 coup d'état in my country and the very unfortunate aftermath. There are many in Chile and many throughout the world also share similar opinions:

“As I noted earlier, the name ... ” Which you can't spell correctly, I don't have even try to show what an asshole you really are, as you're doing it perfectly yourself. So babble on little brook.

Dr Peter Phelps is obviously a lose cannon, absolutely reckless, and can't even get the facts right in his address. Pinochet stopped an avowed communist ...“ Allende is in the public record as a democratic socialist. It's a self-serving fiction of the most extreme revisionists. ”From the audience he asked Kelly, a former Army officer, why he had served in the Iraq War when Labor had opposed that war. Kelly replied “I was a soldier, and I did what I was ordered to do.” Phelps then said: “Oh, like the guards at Belsen, perhaps? Are you using the Nuremberg Defence?”

    Sméagol Trahald. (Gollum)

You do realize you were publicly accused as the murder of your late cousin Déagol, of you have made no denial. That's implying guilt in a public forum.

You are perhaps 18 years old, yet you claim that Allende was not a Marxist... What a foolish little ignorant basement dwelling beast you are...

“You claim that Allende was not a Marxist...” You are liar I never made such claim, I said he was not a communist, which is absolutely correct. While you have revealed yourself as proven liar and a criminal.
Again, Dr Peter Phelps is a reactionary 'wing-nut'. A genuine 'Reds under the bed' paranoiac
It is not the first time Dr Phelps has prompted raised eyebrows in Parliament. In 2011 he told the Upper House that all traffic lights should be ripped up.

Another spectacular day and we took a good brisk 6km walk before returning to our refuge. Seeing us, our neighbor dropped by with a freshly harvested box of excellent quality pomegranates as a result of Madame earlier sending bread to their home.

We have a inexpensive simple device that releases the ruby colored seeds and another for extracting the juice, and I'm so impressed of the better flavor and more intense color of the new Israeli hybrid, which is far superior to our few old trees at the farm. I processed over half the box into juice to be transformed into syrup.

Life is surreal right now as the International Monetary Fund is forecasting that “Latin America will plunge into a recession that could set the clock back more than 50 years in terms of economic growth.”

“Of the 635 million people who live in Latin America and the Caribbean, at least one third could lose their livelihoods as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.”

Meanwhile, I've also had a very instructional morning learning the fine art of ceramic glazing, including how the dull red pigments are transformed into deep cobalt blue.

For anyone who does not understand what my partner has been creating, this is an example to get an idea: https://images.app.goo.gl/BiHCBbPJMdKALsmU9

As yesterday Madame prepared a Patagonian leg of lamb (another leg is still in the freezer), today's petit déjeuner was thinly sliced medium rare cold lamb sandwiches dressed with a roasted garlic mayonnaise, a touch of German mustard, romaine heart leaves and slices of a heirloom tomato with crusty sourdough bread. This was accompanied with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice and seltzer water.

The sandwiches were so damn good, I suggested we repeat the same for the evening but this time accompanied with a Carménère instead... of which I saw d'accord in my partner's eyes...

    Life is good!

“Another spectacular day ...” No just another attempted distraction from an issue you raised and lost.
