Argentine bonds rose strongly on Tuesday on optimism that a restructuring deal being brokered with creditors could be in reach, even as rating agencies slapped the country with downgrades after it defaulted for the ninth time last week. Read full article

    Fitch so and so...S&P blah blah...so what? Argentina continues to negotiate and the bondholders will continue to put pressure, however everybody knows what the outcome will be.

    Argentina does not want to default, and the bondholders know that if Argentina defaults it is going to be pretty bad for everybody.

    And so, the negotiations keep on, and we'll soon enough find out what kind of an agreement has been reached.
