The Galician Nodosa shipyard launched this week a trawler-freezer, “Montelourido” which according to the Vigo media was ordered by Rampesca and their Falklands' partners RBC.

“Montelourido” is considered a state of the art fishing vessel which will concentrate in squid catching in Falklands waters, and follows on the Monteferro, another outstanding vessel. The latest unit has greater freezing and hold capacity and a much potent engine and belongs to Ferralemes Ltd.

Galician Faro de Vigo reported that the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed the launching schedules. However, on Wednesday two of the biggest shipyards launched two last generation fishing vessels: Monteraiola, a tuna vessel, and Montelourido.

Montelourido was the second fishing vessel order of Rampesca.
