First of 36 Saab F-39E Gripen fighter aircraft arrives in Brazil

The first Saab F-39E Gripen fighter arrived on a ship in the port of Navegantes, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, on 20 September. The Brazilian variant of the Gripen E/F will be used for a flight-testing campaign, Saab said on 23 September, according to a report from Flight Global.

Gold medal for HeroRAT Magawa's life saving work in detecting mines in Cambodia

An African giant pouched rat named Magawa has been awarded a gold medal by a UK veterinary charity for his “life-saving” work in Cambodia where he detects landmines. Manawa has so far discovered 39 landmines and 28 items of unexploded ordnance in his seven-year career.
