Maradona's post brain surgery development “excellent”, neurologist reports
Diego Maradona was recovering Wednesday after an operation for bleeding in his skull, his personal doctor said. Maradona had a subdural hematoma, which is an accumulation of blood between a membrane and his brain, said Dr. Leopoldo Luque, a neurologist who performed Tuesday’s operation.

Rescuers save some 100 pilot whales stranded in a Sri Lanka southwest beach
Over 100 pilot whales have been saved after being stranded on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. A combination of the country's navy and volunteers worked together on an overnight operation to push the whales back out to sea in Panadura, Sri Lanka.

Denmark will cull 15 million mink following detection of a mutated coronavirus
Denmark, the world’s biggest producer of mink fur, said on Wednesday it would cull all of the country’s minks after a mutated version of the new coronavirus was detected at mink farms and had spread to people.
