Falklands War Para hero’s medals sell for £150,000
Nine medals belonging to a Falklands War hero have sold for £150,000 at auction. The nine-medal collection, which includes the Distinguished Conduct Medal, was expected to sell for between £100,000 and £120,000.

US jobs picked up in November, but the challenge remains long term employment
U.S. employers added 245,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate slipped to 6.7%, the Department of Labor said on Friday. The fresh economic data shows the labor market clawing its way out of the pandemic-induced downturn, but still far away from a full recovery.
