The artificial linkage in this deal lasts 5 ½ years, during which time EU quotas reduce by 25%, transferred to the UK, then annual negotiations. If the EU don’t like the outcome of which, they can impose tariffs on UK fish products exported to the EU.
You have 5 years to find somewhere else to fish Sr Nuñez Feijóo.

The UK has succeeded in achieving the goals of a strong BREXIT — and a five year transition is completely reasonable from the insane nightmare that the Eurocrats were originally stubbornly insisting upon. On a personal note, we've sadly learned the government here is strongly flexing their authority with strict enforcement of the latest COVID restrictions. Even the nearby airfield has been given a very severe penalty for being lax on numerous helicopter flights of residents traveling to their vacation homes.
Although we have multiple residency certificates — we're staying in here through the New Years celebration — as most our invited guests also are staying in Santiago.
Although our Viña food caterer is postponed — we still plan a grand party at our pied-à-terre when restrictions become more flexible. (His seafood paella and service is extraordinary.)
In protest ma mariée has decided to celebrate today “le Lendemain de Noel” with our Chicureo friends — which we have NEVER celebrated before.
Some of our seafood was pre-purchased on the Internet —including outstanding pre-cooked Abalone ( https://www.mariberico.cl/web/producto/locos-cocidos/ ) which Madame is planing her delicious variation of the famous Daniel Boulud's Abalone signature dish.
It's amazing just how adeptly ma mariée can utilize the food items on hand — including from our home garden — and transform it into une grand fête celebration!
Weather for the weekend is absolutly spectacular — with a perfect warm dry temperature.
Yesterday, I purposely refrained from commenting — about a particular inebriated mentally challenged potty-mouthed mendacious miscreant — who I hope will seek professional help there in frigid Canada, where he resides in his mother's filthy basement. (We ourselves enjoy alcoholic drinks, especially fine wine — but some people need to abstain.)

Today we're really enjoying our vegetable garden — that's especially providing ma mariée and I having a great deal of fun weeding and harvesting the very satisfying bounty.
For us, working the soil and tending to our plants is a privilege. It seems only ignorant fools look down on farmers — while they themselves subside on highly processed microwaved frozen food.
Speaking of frozen food, we have a lot of seafood that was originally planned for the paella that we're using. For example, Ie déjeuner today was sautéd jumbo shrimp with avocado, tomato and mini-romaine lettuce dressed with a lemongrass infused aioli and fresh sourdough baguette.
This evening's planned fare is Catalan style seared baby squid with garlic, parsley, lemon juice and olive oil with more of the same sourdough baguette and fully ripe beefsteak tomato with mild goat cheese.
This will be accompanied with a dry chilled Casablanca Chardonnay.
Really a wonderful day here in Chile!
Anyway, I'm hoping those unfortunate closet-alcoholics that suffer from an inability to control themselves will seek professional psylogical help with suitable treatment.

We've been constantly snacking on ripe apricots, plums, pluots and nectarines from our garden — but ma mariée has planned for our night's fare to be her signature beef Carpaccio dressed with slivers of sweet red onion, mild goat cheese, capers, olive oil and lemon.
As this is the holiday season, I'm opening one of my rare '89 Santa Rita Casa Real Merlots — which we're very curious how it's aged.
Consuming alcohol should always be for those — who are accustomed to imbibing with pleasure and not making a fool of themselves in public.
Some really should realize they are a complete arse...

Frankly — normal Winter weather we enjoy on Skiing holidays, but I can imagine the brutal frigid Canadian cold weather can even depress a filthy basement cockroach...
Although Madame is frustrated about having to cancel our Viña New Year's fête — the weather here has been perfect and we've really been enjoying our garden. We've been sharing the ripe apricots, nectarines, plums and pluots with family and neighbors — as well as making refrigerator preserves.
In fact, as the seasonal fruit is ripening earlier than normal — we're considering decamping to the farm to make traditional fruit preserves next week.
Although I always knew my dialogue regarding meals made F*ckwitt insanely envious — I was pleasantly surprised how crazily jealous he gets when I mention good wine. (Actually any alcohol it seems...)
As far as him traveling to Brazil — Jack immediately saw through his lie as I did about his military service during the 1962 Cuba Missile Crisis.
Today's lunch was a grilled prawn Caesar salad made with fresh mini romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes from our garden with homemade garlic croutons and a light creamy dressing — accompanied with fresh pink-lemonade.
This evening's fare is still in contemplation.

The asado at the old hacienda was enjoyable with a far larger group than we anticipated with delicious grilled beef as the highlight. My only complaint is that I over indulged on really good food.

Jan 02nd, 2021 - 03:05 pm - Link - Report abuse -1We arose to the dawn creeping over the Andes and took a hike into the foothills — not returning home for nearly two hours. There's something especially invigorating engaging in physical exercise at the onset of a new day — in another year.
Our breakfast was omelettes with mild goat cheese and buttered sourdough bread.
We just finished tending our vegetable garden and will have have a delicious garden salad with fresh lettuces, heirloom tomato, sweet red onion, cucumber and avocado with garlic croutons and a light honey cream dressing. We're enjoying a freshly made pink lemonade as the day is warm but very comfortable.
As mentioned, we've been enjoying the bountiful ripe apricots, nectarines, plums and pluots and as the fruit seems to be about two weeks seasonally early — we're decamping to the farm for making traditional preserves starting Monday.
I find it highly amusing the cockroach still is incapable of admiring his defeat, as it's already proven that anyone serving in the RAF as a air-wireless technician, would be knowledgeable of basic Morse Code. The cockroach is a PROVEN pathological liar!

The ripe aromatic pluots that we've gorging ourselves upon are a hybrid of three quarters plum and one quarter apricot tree that we've grafted three distinct varieties.

(Although we have a plethora of fresh vegetables from our garden, personally the first harvest of sweet corn is the highlight of the meal.)
This accompanied by an exquisite '97 Santa Rita Merlot which it’s like velvet.
Tomorrow, we have our son with his family joining us for Sunday lunch. As we're putting up fruit preserves at the farm starting on Monday, our daughter-in-law and children are going as well for a couple of days.
Life is entertaining right now and we look forward to enjoying in our annual family tradition. Our Germanic daughter has been a wonderful addition to our band of gypsies.
It's amazing to me how some people tend to place the blame for bad happenings in gypsies, when in fact it's a complete lie...

As today will be warm — perhaps 28⁰c(80⁰f) we'll be using our covered terrace for the meal — but we have lots of activities for the grandchildren, including fun with pottery and gardening.
Tomorrow we'll decamp to the farm (it's a really nice advantage having a critical worker permission to freely travel) and life is great!

Jan 03rd, 2021 - 03:39 pm - Link - Report abuse -1Our Sunday lunch menu's main course is Catalan style seafood paella with a delicious array of chunks of salmon, calamari, prawns, scallops and abalone prepared in a marvelous bed of saffron rice flavored with tomato, sweet onion, garlic, hot smoked paprika, olive oil and Chardonnay that will meld into an incredible 45cm (18 inches) pan we purchased in Barcelona.
This will be accompanied with a garden salad with Madame's Crème Brûlée for dessert. There of course will be fresh made lemonade and a very good dry Casablanca Chardonnay, but we'll probably be drinking a lot of ginger ale as its so refreshing.
It's really a beautiful day here and we're excited about the arrival of our guests.
Monday, we have unhindered travel to our farm to make preserves with our daughter-in-law and her children. Having a critical worker permit is a wonderful advantage during the time of a pandemic.
Even though we have the COVID antibodies, we plan to be inoculated with a “critical worker priority” which is an unexpected surprise!
My best regards to you Pugol, I hope your Sunday is enjoyable as well.

Even though our son is a lawyer, he does not have our “critical worker status” — which we hayseed farmers are so privileged to have.
This evening's fare will simply be leftover delicious paella served with chilled Tio Pepe jerez.
We decamp from Chicureo early in the morning at dawn — and will have a late breakfast at the farm kitchen. (We'll buy fresh eggs and bread from the old lady that makes empanadas.)
Although it may seem simple, ma mariée makes a marvelous French style of scrambled eggs that will go wonderfully with Marraqueta bread and butter.
With good coffee with Baileys, our adventure will be very enjoyable.
Schadenfreude is one of my favorite feelings!

We had a lovely day Sunday, thank you for asking, my girlfriend’s granddaughter came to stay, so quite busy and fun.
15 months old and she is running things, knows her own mind as we say, starting to use recognisable words, although the current favourite is when seeing something new/again/interesting, pointing and going OOOOOOUUUUUUHHHHHH, loudly.
Also I won the cards, by a good score.
As for the Stulte sub terra, I’m beginning to think he need to go back on the Vodka and any other narcotics he can lay his paws on.
Your ignoring him does seem to enrage him more than somewhat, you would have thought that he was used to being ignored by now, must have been happening to him all his life.
He is deteriorating rapidly, seems his envy of you knows no bounds, endlessly keeps repeating your comments followed by random blither, he needs help.

It’s so refreshing to see the World from a little one’s curiosity. We certainly especially enjoy our grandchildren.
As our daughters are not expected arrive until tomorrow, I found two Haitians on the roadside and hired them as day labors for picking treefruit.
We are participating and supervising the harvest and should have several buckets of plums and nectarines this afternoon. (Apricots and pluots are for tomorrow — which we'll pick ourselves.)
The traditional jam/preserves process is always intense that requires a lot of work, but we consider it as recreation and produces far more than we consume — and we generously share with everyone.
Today’s le dejeuner was a tomato and caramelised onion tart tatin that ma mariée quickly threw together and was delicious.
Regarding non-essential worker jealous envy — which is SEETHINGLY INTENSE — it brings laughter as he really needs to lay off the Vodka.
Also, your imagination of the Aconcagua Valley is spot on — as we can see the spectacular snow covered peak of the Aconcagua mountain (located in Argentina) from our farmhouse.
We're having a marvelous time and hope you are for this week as well.
