For a while, it looked like at least on South American country (other than the Falkland Islands) would escape the worst effects of this pandemic.... alas it is now too late for Uruguay.

Both its cases and deaths have double in 20 days. It's hard to come back from the rates they are experiencing without a full lockdown for a couple of months.

They can do it, but I doubt they will!
