Argentina and Brazil commemorate when they agreed to make Latin America a region free of nuclear arms

Argentina and Brazil commemorated on Monday the thirtieth anniversary of the creation of the Brazilian-Argentine Agency for Accounting and Control of Nuclear Materials, which was signed on 18 July 1991, with the exclusive purpose of the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Ushuaia satisfied with the resurgence of its fishing industry

During the first half of the year, (Jan/Jun), 29,500 tons of fish products were landed at the port of Ushuaia which represents 53% over the same period a year (19,250 tons), according to the latest stats from Argentina's Fisheries Under Secretariat. Officials from Tierra del Fuego point out that much can be attributed to the fact that April 2020 was a “completely dead month”, because of the pandemic.

The Government of Bolivia Monday announced charges were to be filed against former police and military chiefs as well as a former Argentine ambassador for the shipment of arms which resulted in the toppling of Evo Morales from power in 2019.

Patagonia lawmakers call for an end to export duties on fisheries produce, fruit, lamb and wool
