Yet another pointless non story, and a statement packed with fantasy,

Funny comment from TDF: ““The fact that they are momentarily 'invaded' by the UK in no way impedes that we may take actions against those who do not abide by the law”, insists Zachary.”

How could they “take action”? Argentine laws are not enforceable in the Falklands. Do they think they could just arrest people from BAM Nutall? I have no idea if that company has any projects going on in Argentina. In that case it could of course be local problems there. If not they should just ignore the “threats”.

Of course not. But if the company is active in Argentina they could perhaps harass the company and its staff in some way. If not, they can do nothing, I presume

What they (the TDF government) fear is that a new port and new infrastructure in the F.I. could make the archipelago more competitive as a “Gateway to Antarctica” for European and North American polar research institutes. As the Falklands are more stable and reliable than Argentina such institutes may choose Stanley before Ushuaia as a base.

The new port means that Stanley will be amble to eat Ushuaia's lunch regarding Antarctica tourism. Good for them and Ushuaia can be left dry for all I care.
