Falkland Islands Government expands policy for approved visitors

On Wednesday 22 September, ExCo agreed to revise its policy in connection with the categories of visitors allowed entry into the Falkland Islands. This decision was taken as part of the government’s regular review of ongoing pandemic management plans. Read full article

    Fine for the occasional Veteran who has the time- and facilities available to isolate for 5 days on arrival - but unless reviewed in early 2022 and put onto the Uk type entry footing of negative test to fly- and then another negative on day2 - but allowed out anyway on arrival - There will be likley be NO VIPs from UK nor Veterans Visiting for the 40th Anniv. events!

    Maybe more important if FIG gets on with the date for the 3rd vac “top-up” for over 50s and underlying symptoms as in many other Countries now - and the youngsters from 11/12 to 17yrs to reduce spread level risk.

    only another 10 years to go for the big golden anniversary and the icing on the cake will be the bicentenary in the following year. we can only hope there is no covid 29 on the horizon!
