Busy days for the Falkland Islands Governor Nigel Phillips CBE, despite his plastered left leg and crutch. Last Friday morning he signed the proclamation to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and the writ to instruct that election take place in six weeks, next November 4. Read full article

    Crouch? ....or crutch? Nice one Mercopress!
    For those who did not already know - a cueca is a Chilean national dance but it's not clear from the article where that features or how the Governor managed that exercise (with or without his crouch).

    Obviously from the photograph — Nigel Phillips showed the highest complement by raising a goblet of wine in celebration. It is exceptionally difficult to imagine him dancing the Cueca but I image he was entertained as it was preformed.

    Cueca in portuguese is the words for underpants so maybe he is now able to use underpants instead if a disposable nappy. I am not sure that the brand is newsworthy so that is probably why that is not mentioned.
