Chinese carmaker to halt Uruguay operations
The Chinese carmaking company Lifan has announced it would halt all of its operations in Uruguay and leave the country after agreeing to pay overdue wages to some 60 workers who have been laid off and alre already on unemployment insurance.

Brazilian Air Force will receive several SAAB J-39 fighters later this month
By the end of the year, the Brazilian Air Force will have received several J-39 Gripen combat fighters from Sweden's SAAB aerospace, avionics and defense consortium, part of the agreement signed in 2014 by Brazil for the purchase of 36 of these jets, following a complicated bidding process.

London Poppy Day with Royal Navy sailors involved in a record fundraising
London Poppy Day saw more than 200 Royal Navy sailors in the streets in a fundraising effort to help the Royal British Legion and raise awareness of the sacrifices made by Service personnel past and present. After last year’s fundraising effort was scaled back due to the pandemic. 2021 is looking to set a record: the biggest cash street collection of its kind in Europe.
