Argentina's Sports Minister Matías Lammens has announced his country's full support to the Beijing Winter Olympic Games due to start at the Chinese capital on Feb. 4, 2022, after the United States and some of its closes allies said they would boycott them.

The US administration of President Joseph Biden made this decision based on the “ongoing genocide of the People's Republic of China and crimes against humanity.” US athletes will nevertheless be able to compete, although there will be no official delegation.

February 2022 will also mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral ties between Argentina and China.

Argentina's Ambassador to China, Sabino Vaca Narvaja, met Thursday virtually with the Argentine Olympic Committee to discuss requirements and protocols for the admission of athletes into China due to the pandemic.

The Winter Olympic Games will be held in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, in February 2022, a date that will coincide with the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Argentina and China. Construction of the Olympic and Paralympic Village in the Beijing area began on September 27, 2018 and was completed on June 26, 2021.

Thursday's meeting also marked the first time the Argentine Olympic Committee made a clear statement regarding the boycott on the Games.

The Winter Olympics are held every four years and bring together the best athletes in the winter practice world.

If we notice there are no Muslim countries raising this issue with China, not Saudi Arabai or Pakistan; two strict allies of China where religion is enforced to the point people are beaten and jailed for blasphemy!. Yet they silently ignore Chinas eradication of their values, unilaterally.

This tells us one important point, the western governments' reaction is based on something else other than indignation on how China treats its Muslim community.

The Empire has to worry about distributing income and putting an end to wars, blockades and boycotts.

If the USA does this, we Westerners will not abandon it.

If you don't, someone else will. Probably China.
