Dec 18th, 2021 - 02:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Oh boy! A new Capital City. How exciting!!! This will be the answer to all Argentinas problems, inflation, poverty, corruption etc. Man, and I thought that it was never going to happen. What a difference a day can make!!
Dec 18th, 2021 - 02:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Needless to say just another way of distracting - or trying to distract - the population from the fundamental issues that they have no idea as to how to resolve, namely inflation, security, poverty, corruption etc. exactly as clearly pointed out by hurricane.
Dec 19th, 2021 - 12:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It would be a great initiative. Argentina needs to internalize development so that it can provide its people with economic opportunities outside greater Buenos Aires.

Dec 19th, 2021 - 02:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Albertito has really exceeded himself this time......But then again, let's not forget that the economy is doing just great ; Argentina has become the food-cellar of the world ; the highly efficient infrastructure has permitted drastic cost reductions and has increased productivity ten-fold ; GDP is at an all-time high of 15% per year ; exports are booming, producing mind-boggling surpluses, foreign reserves are building up at an astonishing rate ; the exchange rate is USD 5,00 to the peso ; income per capita is getting close to USD 60,000 per year, and growing ; everyone owns their own home, villa-miserias are a thing of the past ; debt is at an all-time-low ; unemployment is under 0,5% of the working-age population; retirement-age has been reduced to 50 years old, regardless of the period of social security contributions ; 95% of all students are graduating from higher education which has an international waiting list of 5 years ; the country has become a world-class technology centre, attracting billions of dollars per year in foreign investments.....so what's the next 'obvious' step ? build a new capital city !!!
Dec 19th, 2021 - 09:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Won't help the country one iota - much to the contrary - but without a doubt will make all the federal politicians very wealthy..

Just like in the late 50s when Brazil decided to transfer the Government from the State of Guanabara (later became the municipality of Rio de Janeiro), to Brasília (located in Central State of Goiás), inaugurated April 1960.
Couldn't help but notice Brasshole's intelligent remark Argentina needs to internalize development so that it can provide...........was just wondering how Argentina could develop, itself, if not internally.....
