Argentine ambassador in Washington, Jorge Argüello has reported he received the visit of British economist Ben Kelmanson, appointed the new IMF Senior resident representative in Argentina, who will be involved in the delicate debt negotiations for the coming years. Read full article

Saying the obvious — the Argentine chutzpah of not completing their debt obligations continues to amaze us all!

We just returned from the farm — to harvest fruit trees and tend the gardens there.

We’ve been blessed with a marvelous bounty of nectarines, plums, pluots and apricots.

At the end of next month — we began our harvest of table grapes.

Currently I’m enjoying the beautiful Summer weather and savoring
a delicious pluot — the Flavorosa variety which fabulous!

Commercially we produce avocados and table grapes — but we greatly enjoy our private orchards of grafted varieties for family consumption.

With all due respect — perhaps Brasileiro should consult also the amazing biography of Mario Vargas Llosa who is highly respected from the political left.

I have no negative comments of the highly respected Leonardo Boff — but frankly the comparison between of the two individuals I think is weak.

As far as Peru — I love the country for the people, the culture and their marvelous cuisine — but the governance has been a disaster. Mario Vargas Llosa has a critical reason to complain about the social progress of the country.

My favorite grape is Grape Italia. Fresh, not too sweet, not too bitter.

Leonardo Boff and Liberation Theology suffered setbacks with the worst pope I've known since my contemporaneity: Pope John Paul II.

I believe he was bad because he lived in Poland in the Soviet Empire era. Sad!

The Church of today represents the poor more, defends the poor more.

It is necessary to reduce the difference between rich and poor. It is necessary to distribute income.

I think all consumers (especially growers) appreciate the incredible range of Italia grape varieties. There are a significant number of delicious cultivars that have become highly popular.

Currently, there are a number new seedless varieties which have become released.

Personally my opinion of John Paul II is completely different as he overcame the Polish Communist ideology — although I’m still not detracting from Pope Francis.

I’ve have always the philosophy that the RINSING TIDE RAISES ALL BOATS.
