On Monday UK Defense secretary told the Falklands 40 Margaret Thatcher Day Lecture that Britain will continue to “stand up to bullies” wherever in the world they happen to be situated. He said: “Our enemies should not doubt Britain’s determination to stand up to bullies, to defend those who cannot defend themselves and for our values.” Read full article

Disclaimer & comment rulesWell said Minister Wallace. Bravo! In this year of the 40th anniversary of Argentines invading our home with military force, is it not time to see more of a response to their constant bullying, and less of the diplomatic patience usually demonstrated?

The tremendous active support given to British forces by the US to repel the Argentine invading forces or; the tremendous active support given to the British forces by Chile to repel the Argentine invading forces.
We remain ever-grateful for both packages of effort.

Jan 13th, 2022 - 02:02 pm - Link - Report abuse +1Nobody can stay on the bottom, but Argentina seems to have a monopoly on that position.
As for flames, “an unprecedented heat wave is going through South America and some cities in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay have been forecast to be looking out for temperatures around 50ºC, it was reported, while 40ºC seems to have become the new normal.
Buenos Aires and Montevideo reached that mark Tuesday, while the city of San Antonio Oeste, in Argentine Patagonia, had registered 42.8ºC on Monday”

Jan 13th, 2022 - 08:59 pm - Link - Report abuse +1That did make me laugh. The line about Argentina maintaining such a low position on the world stage despite all of their potential wealth.
All someone else’s fault of course.
The right place for such a country of bullies and cheats.
