Uruguay's Presidential Secretary Álvaro Delgado Tuesday encouraged more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 after the Health Ministry announced 50.08% of the population has already taken a third dose immunizer against the virus. Read full article

Disclaimer & comment rulesWhen considering statistics and numbers reported in regards to Covid 19 it is worth noting that in the UK a recent request for freedom of information from the office of national statistics found that for the number of deaths where Covid-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate, 1 Feb 2020 - 31 Dec 2021, the total number was 6,183 people - average age 82 yrs.
Jan 26th, 2022 - 02:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Just 6,183 died of Covid 19 over 2 years.
Let that sink in .
The vast majority of the numbers reported were people who died WITH Covid 19 and not OF Covid 19 and they mostly had co-morbitidies.

Uruguay ranks 18th in the list of countries based on the percentage of their populations having received the full vaccination scheme.
As a country, Uruguay ranks 70th in the number of SARS-CoV-2 cases. Uruguay, by population, is #134 of countries in the world.
The 70th largest country in the world is Senegal, with almost five times the population.
From the WHO:
- Senegal: 84,374 confirmed cases of COVID-19; 1,929 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 6 January 2022, a total of 1,923,773 vaccine doses administered.
- Uruguay: 588,995 confirmed cases of COVID-19; 6,308 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 21 January 2022, a total of 7,265,168 vaccine doses administered.
- Uruguay v. Senegal: Uruguay – 0.21% (1/5) the population of Senegal; 278% more vaccines, 598% more cases; 227% more deaths.
I realize that similarity in vaccines administered and deaths might upset coincidence theorists, but there you are.

Countries that have the ability to administer vaccines have the ability to count deaths reasonably accurately.
Jan 27th, 2022 - 10:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Senegal has neither.
What is ‘reported to WHO’ is only what they know about and will not reflect the ‘real picture’ in Senegal.
But don’t worry, if you go Senegal you will dye of something else as they have no way of testing for Covid 19, or anything else for that matter.

Jan 28th, 2022 - 12:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0- I really envy how them plain, Simple flat-earther folks as poster BarryEd123 above can find the SimpleTruth by Simply using their God Given senses and some Simple Common Sense...
- The almost perfect Senegal/Uruguay Covid19 example from above inspired me to to try to use (and Simplify even further) their Simple Logic...
- Now (for Simple arithmetic reasons) I will start by choosing for my next thought experiment two almost identical Countries in regard of population and territorial size...:
ERITREA and URUGUAY...
- Eritrea has (as until yesterday) reported...:
C.19 cases : 9408 | C.19 deaths...: 96 | %Vaccined...: 1st dose:0% / 2nd d:0% / 3rd d:0%
- Uruguay has (as until yesterday) reported...:
C.19 cases: 621000 | C.19 deaths: 6370 | %Vaccined: 1st dose:83% / 2nd d:78% / 3rd d:52%
Therefore...:
A) - Simple percentage arithmetics shows us..., with indeniable Simplicity..., that Uruguay suffered ~6400% more Covid19 cases than Eritrea...
B) - Same Simple percentage arithmetics shows us again..., with indeniable Simplicity..., that Uruguay suffered ~6600% more Covid19 deaths than Eritrea...
C)- Simple Common Sense Logic makes US conclude..., without any shadow of a doubt..., that THEY have a Covid Conspiration going on..., that THEY are microchipping billions and THEY are killing millions with them vaccines...
Simple logic and arithmetics..., huhhhhh....?
For Simpletons...!

Jan 28th, 2022 - 01:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Good luck with your mix-and-match gene therapy which neither protects you from Covid nor prevents you from spreading it; let's hope you got the safer batches. Personally, I've never felt compelled to give uninformed consent to participation in medical experiments, but to each its own. Happy clots, keep talking happy clots!
Thanks for your too-clever-by-half cherry-picking analysis. You could make good money for Gates and Fauci with that kind of science, which is precisely how they have pushed their poisonous injections for years. Again, The Real Anthony Fauci, ebook only USD 2.99, with over 8,250 5-star Amazon ratings in the 73 days since publication, will be a fascinating read for anyone with an open mind, critical thinking skills, and intellectual curiosity.
See below for the explanation (again) of why I picked (not cherry-picked) Senegal.
Pugol-H: my experience of Africa is limited, having only traveled in Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt. I expect that Senegal is a disease-ridden shithole. My apologies if I'm wrong, but please do note that your assertions about Senegal are equally arbitrary.
Jan 28th, 2022 - 01:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I picked Senegal because it is #70 in country population, and so might reasonably be assumed to be around #70 in terms of Covid cases. Uruguay, #134 in country population, might reasonably be assumed to be around #134 in Covid cases. But instead Uruguay is #70 in Covid cases, and, having administered around 2.5 times more experimental injections than Senegal, has around 2.5 times more Covid deaths, in actual (not per capita) numbers.
Correlation does not prove causation, of course. And coincidence theory, changing definitions, and renaming can explain away anything. Speaking of the last, I will go out on a tinfoil-hat limb and predict that the disproportionate deaths among the injected will be attributed to a new disease, specifically long Covid.
FWIW, since Pugol-H expressed an interest, I found interesting article about dye in Senegal: https://www.thestar.com/life/2014/04/05/clothing_in_senegal_printed_and_dyed_in_a_preindustrial_setting_porter.html

Feb 01st, 2022 - 11:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What I am questioning here, is your assumption that data from Senegal is as ‘complete’ as that from Uruguay. Somehow I doubt it, although I have not actually been to either.
If you are going to compare countries data then at the very least their health systems need to be equally able to test and identify/quantify what is going on. Otherwise any comparison is meaningless.
I agree with you about correlations.

I particularly like the bedsheet tangling/cheese consumption ‘correlation’.
What you need to look up is ‘Post hoc ergo propter hoc’ fallacies.
