Disclaimer & comment rulesA longtime Argentine friend of our family — who lives in San Juan — had predicted this would occur as the IMF had no reasonable alternative.
Jan 28th, 2022 - 10:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0He also earlier predicted that the future negotiated deal will also be defaulted by the Argentines…
(This is not just idle speculation — but a predictable certainty…)
Steal a small fortune and they'll punish you dearly — but if you’re Argentina — keep playing the creditors with smoke and feathers — and their elaborate PONZI SCHEME continues like a hellish Berni Madoff nightmare…
Argentina has never truly honoured any agreements. They always default.
Jan 29th, 2022 - 11:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0They are a country of myst have everything for free and never be expected to ever pay for it.
How much longer will the rest of the world take to finally realise that.
Talk about getting away with it is an understatement.
Meanwhile the hood people of Argentina still live in poverty and suppression.
A lot more will have to change if they want their country to be great again.
The first step is to rid themselves of the regimes that run the country, the ones who are bleeding them dry.

Jan 29th, 2022 - 01:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It seems like a dream — but as a youth — I actually thought of studying English literature — although economically our family had been destroyed.
Although Argentina was an imminent threat to my country — including the actual attempted invasion of Chile in 1978 — in retrospect the Falklands War was a blessing for me when I was accepted into the naval academy — and witnessed the war as a cadet.
In a way — Argentina paid for my education — so I should be thankful…
Weather is truly marvelous and today’s le déjeuner is freshly caught sole (lenguado) meunière — which beautifully highlight with the butter, lemon, capers and parsley alongside with sautéed asparagus and cherry tomatoes paired with our favorite Sauvignon blanc.

Ya Turnips should really try to educate yourselves..., at least on the topics you choose to comment on...

Jan 30th, 2022 - 12:42 am - Link - Report abuse +1Say what you want — but certainly your dear country has done what many critics have predicted — AND WILL CONTINUE by defaulting again in the near future.
Congratulations — or as some describe: CHUTZPAH
This is my last stay at the beach as next week I return to the farm to prepare for the grape harvest.

Jan 30th, 2022 - 12:47 am - Link - Report abuse 0Turns out the word avocado comes from the Aztec word āhuacatl, which means testicle,

It certainly explains why you talk a load of bollocks.
Constipation certainly defines the character of a visibly upset Terence Hill!
Hardly, the only person here that's full of it is you, and you will remain so.

Today’s family brunch is a wonderful eclectic smorgasbord — including a marvelous mixed fresh cebiche — including with an avocado and chupe
of beach gathered cochayuyo — accompanied with a cornucopia of fresh fruit and German bread — with Madame’s tangerine mimosas…
It is truly a wonderful weekend before returning to the farm.

Any case — I’m in a delightful mood and the gypsy women are busily assembling today’s le déjeuner.
Other than cycling with the children and enjoying conversation — my primary pastime will be enjoying the novel “El cuarto de atrás” by Carmen Martín Gaite.
Tomorrow we’re taking our gypsy grandchildren to visit the Humboldt penguin colony located nearby to Cachagua Island nearby to Zapallar.
I hope your day is as pleasant…
