Argentine Navy to launch second LICA next week
The Río Santiago Shipyards (ARS) are ready to launch their second cadet training boat (LICA) March 16, it was reported Tuesday, after the ARA Ciudad de Ensenada hit the waters in October last year. The new boat will be named ARA Ciudad de Berisso.

Compassionate charter flight for the Falklands' Chilean community on March 19
Next March 19, a 'compassionate' charter flight with a capacity for 168 passengers, will be flying to Chile from the Falkland Islands, returning Saturday, April 9, 2022. The flight will only stop in both Punta Arenas and Santiago on the outbound and return journeys.

Severe drought impacts on Argentine corn and soybean crop estimates
Argentina’s corn 2021/22 crop has now been estimated at less than the 48 million tons of just a few weeks ago, according to the Rosario grains exchange, because a severe drought has slashed yields. Likewise with soybeans first estimate of 40,5 million tons.

Global carbon emissions reach all-time high in 2021 after COVID-19
The International Energy Agency (IEA) Tuesday warned through a statement that “global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions rose to their highest level ever in 2021 as economies recovered from the coronavirus pandemic and coal use increased.”
