The world is never going to learn to live in peace and end wars, until the stupid knuckleheads that be at the apex of power in the world, at any and every given time in history, learn to honor and respect all other nations as equals in all ways to themselves, and as worthy of respect and consideration, as they presume for themselves.
The United States should have said We stand by with utmost interest awaiting the conclusions of the investigations by the Argentine authorities
We are following with interest the investigations into the crew and the aircraft, and we appreciate the investigative efforts of the Argentine authorities ... FOLLOWING?... In the last few years, I have made the exhausting choice of learning to listen to the semantically inferred intentions in official statements; that when not suggesting what an other country should do and what the speaking country considers doing if else, talk about how they feel and think about those countries.

Trimonde, right you are. The entire US blockade of Iran at the behest of their foreign policy masters in Jerusalem has only strengthened the hardliners in Tehran and made them more self-reliant.
