This speech still gives too much credence to Argentinas “claim”.

What was removed was the murderous mutinous crew of the SS Sarandi that had arrived on the islands just two months earlier, who had been warned before they left Argentina that they would be removed, who had just a few days into their attempted theft of the islands, murdered the “Argentine governor” and raped his wife in front of their children.
Not so much a small garrison.....
