    “British imperialism is not exactly the Laws!”

    What about “Who is first in point of time is stronger in right” do you have difficulty in accepting a credo, that stems from Roman times.
    It must be satisfying to the British, that if push comes to shove, the right is on their side completely.

    My argument does not change with geography. Or does England change the Law according to “Local Legend”?

    ” My argument does not change with geography.”

    Neither does mine, it stays on the straight and narrows of international laws.

    The UK which has been part and parcel of more nations achieving self -determination.
    Can safely rely on UN General Assembly Resolution 2649
    (November 30, 1970)
    4. Considers that the acquisition and retention of territory in contravention of the right of the people of that territory to self-determination is inadmissible and a gross violation of the Charter;
    5. Condemns those Governments that deny the right to self-determination of peoples recognized as being entitled to it,”

    Further rely on the judgement of the International Court of Justice.

    “ICJ and Self-Determination
    ...opinion on Kosovo's declaration ...
    ” The right of self-determination, which the ICJ found to be jus cogens in the East Timor case, is a right of all peoples, not only of those in a colonial context. ... “
    An attempt sponsored by Spain and Argentina to qualify the right to self-determination in cases where there was a territorial dispute was rejected by the UN General Assembly, which re-iterated the right to self-determination was a universal right
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-determination#Self-determination_versus_territorial_integrity

    Even further still the unmistakable endorsement of:

    UN General Assembly, the right to self-determination was a universal right.
    Universal realization of the right of peoples to self-determination: resolution / adopted by the General Assembly
    Access English: A_RES_54_155-EN - PDF
    Summary
    Reaffirms that the universal realization of the right of all peoples …, to self-determination is a fundamental condition for the effective guarantee and observance of human rights …; declares its firm opposition to acts of foreign military intervention, aggression and occupation, since these have resulted in the suppression of the right of peoples to self-determination and other human rights in certain parts of the world;

    It’s not that complicated really, Argentina thinks it is strengthening its claim to what has long been someone else’s territory.

    Sr Carmona openly talks about Argentinian ‘settlements’ in Antarctica, forbidden under the Antarctic Treaty which Argentina has signed. No doubt to later argue a ‘permanent’ population, with the right to self-determination, so long as they want be Argentinian.

    How ironic would that be?

    Bi-continental Argentina can only become a reality, rather than a fiction, if the British disappear and there is not much chance of that happening.

    Großargentinien is an imperialist/colonialist dream of Argentina, it is as simple as that.
