Stability, confidence the priorities, and hard times ahead said Chancellor Hunt in a momentous U-turn speech
Financial markets reacted positively Monday after the United Kingdom's new Chancellor of the Exchequer scrapped Prime Minister Liz Truss' tax-cutting economic stimulus package. Jeremy Hunt, who was appointed to the role only on Friday, said the unfunded tax measures had been eliminated and underlined that stability, confidence and helping the most vulnerable, were now the government's goals and number one focus.

September inflation in Patagonia reached 6,1% and 66,2% in nine months
Inflation across in Tierra del Fuego, Argentine Patagonia reached 6,1% during the month of September, 66,2% so far this year, and did not include modifications in basic services rates, but nevertheless was considered a great success in Buenos Aires because it was down from 7%, the previous month.

Gasoline at pumps in Brazil up again after 15 weeks
Brazil's National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) said in its weekly report Monday that the price of gasoline at pumps nationwide had gone up 1.47% after 15 weeks of successive drops.

Falklands Senior Veterinary Officer recommendations on Avian Influenza
As we have learnt Avian Influenza is the current bird/poultry disease to look out for. Just to recap: Avian Influenza is a viral disease of birds (very seldom also humans), that is mainly transmitted via direct contact and/or droppings of infected birds. The symptoms can range from flu type symptoms (sneezing, respiratory distress) and decrease in the number of eggs laid, all the way to sudden death.
