Nov 01st, 2022 - 10:25 pm - Link - Report abuse +1MPA has far larger responsibilities than just the Falklands. They are keeping an eye on British territory all the way down to the South Pole. As for the Islanders, they manage their finances very well.

@Argentine citizen the annual defence budget ($100 million) is a drop in the ocean for the UK the Naval port in Portsmouth spends 4 times that amount, as for the construction cost of MPA $800 million that's money well spent as it is doing what it's supposed to do which is deter any potential threat, and the $9 billion to liberate the Islands from a Fascist (Peronist) regime and give Argentina back its democracy PRICELESS!

Nov 02nd, 2022 - 01:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The cost of defending the Islands is currently met by Her Majesty's Government, and is estimated to amount 0.177% of the total UK Defence budget annually. Beyond the cost of defence, the Falkland Islands do not receive any further financial assistance from the United Kingdom.
