Dear and beautiful Teslyn Barkman, the Malvinas Islands belong to Argentine territory, usurped by the British Empire in 1833.
    Capisce...?

You repeat the same lies over and over again, No one knows for certain who saw the islands first, but it is a fact that Britain was the first to record and claim them, you can deny it as much as you want, but that changes nothing, go look at Spanish and French historical archives, they may just educate from your brainwashed propaganda,

I agree with you that it is not known for certain who saw them first.
The first to give the coordinates without a doubt was Sebald de Weert.
The islands appear on Spanish maps much earlier than on English maps.
As you know, verbal claims without occupation are of no use. And the English were not the first to occupy the islands.
    Is this a lie?

I know all about the French settlement, thats not the issue, neither France or Britain knew each other had a settlement, Spain and the UP were not in the game, and Britains claims preceeded the French , but you know that already as various posters have given you the evidence, i say for the 50th time if you believe your case is that strong, go to the ICJ, we will never agree,

    Malv
Nooo, oh noooo, they were on English maps long before they were on Spanish maps. The Spanish didn’t know they were there until they found out from the French.

Spain arrived late to the party, bought their claim from the French who got out quick once they realised the British were somewhere nearby and would find them sooner rather than later.

The French only knew they were there because the British issued diplomatic documents claiming them. Check it out:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Antoine_de_Bougainville

‘In 1755 he was sent to England as secretary to the French embassy in London’

The French were the first (Europeans) to occupy the Islands, in 1764 (Louis de Bougainville no less), in a direct violation of British sovereignty established in 1690.

As I have told you before, British claims are very old, and they have never relinquished their claims, Argentinian claims are very new. First you need to explain how and when the Territories stopped being British, before you can talk about the being Argentinian.

Or they are not Argentinian and never have been.

    Capishhhh!!!

Funny thing, Argentina claims that Spain discovered the archipelago either in 1520 or 1540, and yet Spain does not make such a claim. At no time in the longs discussions with France (1766) or Britain (1770) did Spain claim to have discovered the islands. Their only claim was based upon discovery of the region and Spain's interpretation of the Treaty of Utrecht 1713. France told them that Utrecht did not apply. So did Britain.

    Discovery? Go learn

    Alternative histories:

    1) The Spanish community had stayed on the islands and had chosen either to remain Spanish, become Uruguayan or chosen to be Argentine....result....Britain would never have reinstated its claim and today the islands would have few thousand Latinos probably living in corrugated shacks, saying they'd be rich if only Britain didn't have South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

    Alternate History 2:

Vernet community was a roaring success, several thousand people joined the business on the islands. Argentina attempt to claim the islands....this is an interesting scenario, IMO Vernet would have played one against the other to try and secure his business the best deal...resulting in either British rule and the islands looking like they do today, or Argentine rule, where the business would have become corrupt, bankrupt and the islands would have fallen into crime and disrepair and probably be empty by now.

Alternative history 3: Argentina never heard of Juan Peron, never fell for the Malvinista myth, had continued their road to prosperity, and were the beacon of non-corruption and enterprise in Latin America....treated the islanders like friends and neighbours....by now the islanders would certainly not be British and be some kind of Argentine Protectorate.

But oh well Argentina chose Peronism, corruption, Malvinista myths, poverty and lies....and ended up with what they deserved.
