Ecuadorian Indigenous leader, lawyer, and anti-mining activist Yaku Pérez will run in the upcoming snap elections called after President Guillermo Lasso dissolved Parliament through a so-called crossed-death decree earlier this month, it was announced Thursday in Quito.
