Maduro wants China to help Venezuela join BRICS

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro told Chinese media during the weekend that he wanted the South American country to join the BRICS bloc (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) as a way to consolidate ties between the Asian giant and Latin America and the Caribbean, it was reported in Beijing. Does the BRICS group want another basket case having just let in Argentina?

As for Venezuela having oil, well with Russia already in and Saudi Arabia, UAE and Iran joining they are awash with the stuff.

What they need is low/zero carbon technologies, not to sell even more pollution/climate change.
