It is also instructive to study the events in the Weimar Republic until 1923: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperinflation_in_the_Weimar_Republic What that article omits are the collateral and long term effects, namely the rise of extreme totalitarian movements on the left as well as on the right and the eventual embrace of a dictatorial government that plunged the country into even greater ruin. I am no fan of Argentine arrogance, but I do not wish that sort of destiny even on my worst enemy. Javier is traveling to the US and Israel prior to inauguration, presumably to get 'properly oriented', but I still hope he can reverse course and rescue the once proud nation by the silver river.
Nov 24th, 2023 - 05:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Any form of extreme nationalism in government whether left or right is a recipe for disaster, Argentina is in a mess because of this, it will take years to put right the mismanagement of the country, Peronism/Kirchner was the worst of all, governing a country is an honour not a right,
