Chile: Boric delivers heartfelt message after Piñera's passing
Chilean President Gabriel Boric Tuesday decreed three days of mourning for the death of his predecessor Sebastián Piñera (2010-2014 and 2018-2022) in a helicopter crash. He also praised the Conservative leader for his crisis management skills after the 2010 earthquake and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Boric also announced that the two-time President Piñera would receive full honors and “a state funeral.”

Milei cries at Wailing Wall in Israel
Argentine President Javier Milei Tuesday landed in Tel Aviv on an ElAl flight and cried at the Wailing Wall together with his rabbi friend Axel Wahnish, who will be the South American country's next ambassador. During his first day in Israel, Milei met with President Isaac Herzog and insisted on his promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem.

High number of amputations to treat penile cancer reported in Brazil
A report from the Brazilian Society of Urology (SBU) stated earlier this month that over 6,000 penile amputations have been recorded in the South American country over the past ten years to treat three out of every 10 patients diagnosed with penile cancer. The condition can be avoided with simple hygiene measures and HPV vaccination, the SBU also explained.

Brazil's Health Minister asks for citizenry's help fighting dengue
Brazil's Health Minister Nísia Trindade Tuesday called on the population of South America's largest country to avoid the proliferation of breeding sites for the mosquito that transmits dengue fever as the number of cases of the malady is surging nationwide, Agencia Brasil reported.
