Argentine Foreign Minister responds ironically to UK Foreign Secretary's Falkland Islands visit

The visit of UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron to the Falkland Islands has sparked an ironic response from Argentine Foreign Minister Diana Mondino. Mondino took to social media to thank Cameron for “including Argentina in his visit to the region,” suggesting he visit Buenos Aires on a future occasion. Read full article

    The correct response would be “We are trying to ween the Argentine population off the poisonous teat of Peronism that has infected it for generations, including the farcical Malvinas myth, please bear with us while we do”.

    Don't be so dumb! They are as populist as any Peronist government (even more, I'd like to say). With this government, they are more keen to use the arms again than any other.
