Argentine Vice-president Victoria Villarruel announced there will be no military parade next April 2nd. to commemorate the beginning of the 42nd anniversary of “the Malvinas historic deed before Congress, since it would represent a too high cost” in Argentina's current circumstances.

The Economist, “After 100 brutal days, Javier Milei has markets believing”
“We are genuinely very satisfied,” declared President Javier Milei of Argentina on local radio, after inflation in February fell by more than expected, to 13%. That, however, is the monthly figure. Over the past year it has amounted to 276%—the highest in the world. Inflation of just 8% annually has rattled politics in richer countries.

Bank of England confirms restrictive monetary policy: keeps rates unchanged
As decided by the US Federal Reserve, the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee, (MPC) at its meeting ending on 20 March 2024, voted by a majority of 8–1 to maintain Bank Rate at 5.25%. One member preferred to reduce Bank Rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 5%.

Argentina's Ambassador to Chile a nuisance to local authorities
Argentina's Ambassador and former Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie was reported Friday to have been disrespectful to members of Chile's diplomatic corps and other authorities of the hosting country. Four letters were sent to Chile's Presidency explaining the situation during a recent joint visit to the Libertadores border crossing.

At least 93 killed in terrorist attack during rock concert in Moscow
At least 93 people were killed -including three children- and hundreds wounded in Moscow during a shooting spree undertaken by a group of gunmen against unarmed civilians at the 6,000-capacity Crocus City Hall concert hall which was also set on fire.

Venezuelan opposition picks alternate candidate given the ban on Machado
Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado of the Plataforma Unitaria Democrática (PUD), who has been banned from running in this year's July 28 presidential elections, Friday told her followers that they should vote for Historian Corina Yoris, who is “the ideal candidate” to circumvent her “unlawful, totally unconstitutional and coward” disenfranchisement until 2036.
