Bank of England confirms restrictive monetary policy: keeps rates unchanged

As decided by the US Federal Reserve, the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee, (MPC) at its meeting ending on 20 March 2024, voted by a majority of 8–1 to maintain Bank Rate at 5.25%. One member preferred to reduce Bank Rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 5%. Read full article
