Brazilian industry slides for second straight month

According to the Monthly Industrial Survey released Wednesday by Brazil's Rio de Janeiro-based Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), industrial production in South America's largest country fell 0.3% in February, which represented its second straight monthly decline after January's -1.5%, Agencia Brasil reported. Capital goods with an increase of 1.8% month on month in February!

Excellent news. It's been a long time since I saw growth in this item that high for the month of February. February is a shorter month and there is still seasonality that pulls the numbers down at this time of year.

So here I go: Brazilian GDP growth in 2024 will be greater than 3%.
