Trump seemed to be alright but bleeding profusely Saturday after being shot at during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on the Republican leader's quest to get back to the White House.     Already video of the shooter on a nearby roof has emerged. This points to a serious security lapse by the secret service. Heads should roll. It will be instructive to see who will face the consequences for this fiasco.

    That's correct, FortHay, a witness saw the gunman crawling into position on a building roof nearby, and was reported to both the police and the secret service, but nothing was done until the shots started. The big question was why there weren't agents already on top of the roof, since there weren't many buildings to guard around the site...

    I highly agree that the Trump security was lacking.
    According to the news reports, the RNC had asked for additional security.

    Chicureo, I understand that is going around. The way the secret service works is to call in all local law enforcement, state on down to town and they did that, as there were plenty there. As for the buildings, they were full of officers, but, apparently, forgetting the cardinal rule about line of sight, nobody was stationed on top...
