Venezuela's National Electoral Council (CNE) announced in the wee hours of Monday that President Nicolás Maduro Moros had been ratified for another six years in office. However, the main opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia posted on X that “the results are undeniable” because “the country chose a peaceful change.” Read full article

    The Venezuelan authorities could already Friday have claimed that Maduro was reelected, that would have saved them from counting the irregular votes.

    Brasileiro are you really sure about what you are saying? I have a feeling that you are delusional.
    Don Alberto what makes you think that they actually counted the actual votes and not just the number of tickets inside the box. There was no need to actually look at the ballot paper to see who was voted for was there?

    Brazil sent observers to monitor the Venezuelan elections. Nothing was found to discredit the election. Therefore, for me and for Brazil, the elections are valid, clean and fair.

    But, it seems, you Westerners would only accept one result: the victory of the fascist far right. Is that the democracy you are seeking? A democracy that serves Western interests?

    The people are in charge, and they have said what they want!
