Use of bicycles on the rise in Montevideo
Experts in the Uruguayan capital said Monday that the use of bicycles in Montevideo has gone up by 70% since the cycling lanes were inaugurated last year. The lanes for bicycles and other non-motorized means of transport such as skateboards and rollerblades, operational since December, have been deemed a success.

Milei welcomes Bukele at Casa Rosada
Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele met Monday in Casa Rosada with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei to discuss bilateral cooperation on issues such as “energy, trade, and security,” it was reported in Buenos Aires. Paraguay's GDP grows 4.6% in first semester of 2024
Paraguay's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) went up 4.6% in the first semester of 2024, according to a Central Bank (BCP) report released Monday in Asunción. The document also mentioned an interannual 4.8% surge in the second quarter of 2024, up from 4.3% in the previous quarter. Thus, Paraguay outperformed the 3.8% projections for the first half of this year.
