Brent crude down amid weak demand

London's futures markets showed a 1.96% decline Tuesday for Brent crude oil to be delivered in October amid contracting demand, which drove it to US$ 80.69 as North Sea crude, the European benchmark, fell US$ 1.61 from the last Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) trading. Meanwhile, in New York, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in the same period fell 2.11% and closed at US$ 76.80.

Unicef outlines Argentine children's gloomy present

The Argentine chapter of the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) issued a report Tuesday showing that some 1.5 million children in the South American country skipped meals every day and at least 1 million cannot eat dinner. Scammers pose as relatives of Voepass victims to ask for money

São Paulo's Attorney General (MPSP) Monday took down 12 fake social media profiles claiming to be relatives of victims of the doomed Voepass flight to ask for monetary assistance, Agencia Brasil reported. The scammers used photos of the victims in the process, it was also explained. The maneuver was detected with assistance from the MPSP's virtual crimes CyberGaeco unit.
