I sincerely hope that the Falkland Islanders will support the struggle of the Chagosians for self-determination. However, I have doubts that they will do so because of the racism built in to British imperialism. Let's wait and see.

What did the UN ICJ say about the applicability of self-determination in 2019? (1 pg):

The surviving Chagossians must be very old by now. How will they return and farm with no fresh water?

    How may Chagossians are there?
How many have not received and accepted payment?
How many actually want to return (as opposed to want more compensation)

To achieve self-determination we need those answers?

British Imperialism and racism , what about the Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Russian, Roman, Arab, Turkish, Mongol etc, what about your imperialism and racism when you stole Patagonia. I believe Argentina is 97% European at the last census, i suggest you look in the mirror before posting such stupid comments, at least you are not pretending to be British anymore, just another bitter pathetic sad uneducated little troll,

    The Malvinas/Falkland Islands achieved self-determination between 1810 and 1816.
England recognized Argentine independence in 1825 with the islands occupied and governed by Argentines.
They were illegally occupied in 1833 by England, expelling men, women, and children.
Since then, Argentina has demanded the return of part of its territory.

The Falkland Islands somehow achieved self-determination with nobody living there, and despite at least three countries having competing claims in abstentia,

England recognised Argentine independence but never relinquished its claim on the islands

Nobody was expelled in 1833 as per the logs of Luis Pinedo Captain of the SS Sarandi

Argentina forgot about its claim for 100 years, but when Peron needed to stir nationalist fervour he reinvented it, leading to an illegal invasion in 1982 costing 900 lives.

Milei wants to forget the whole thing and hopes Argentina grows up, some of the population are so immature and brainwashed they are unable to.

MM, I stopped communicating with him months a go. he has lost all credibility , only fanatical cowards cant admit when they are wrong,
@ Esteban, he has been brainwashed since childhood, so it hurts him like hell to find out everything he has been told by the Argie politicians is nothing more than a made up story,

    Juan

I am interested in why Malvi changed.

He seemed at one point to want to engage in debate, and actually learn the true history of the islands.

However, once he realised what actually happened between 1810 and 1833 he reverted to the made up fantasies.

It's almost like taking a flat-earther up to space, showing them the Earth...but when they return they deny all knowledge. Its quite bizarre.

MM. Fanatics only see what they want to see, he knows deep down his facts are false, but just will not accept it as it means he has wasted so many years of his life, so sad,

“because of the racism built in to British imperialism.”

Was pretty tame compared to Argentine racism.
People in glass-houses shouldn't throw stones.

”At the end of the colonial period, Blacks constituted approximately a third of the urban population. According to the census of 1887 and the opinions of contemporary observers, the urban Black population declined numerically to roughly half its colonial size and fell to an inconsequential 2 percent of total population by the end of the century. How did the Black population of Buenos Aires disappear?
It is widely reported that president of Argentina from 1868 to 1874, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, undertook a ‘covert genocide’ that wiped out the Afro-Argentinean population to the point that by 1875, there were so little Black people left in Argentina that the government didn’t even bother registering African-descendants in the national census.
