Falklands, new Banking Services Expanded to the Falkland Islands by Lloyds Bank

New personal banking opportunities with a major UK bank are now available for Falkland Islands residents. As part of their Overseas Territories strategy, Lloyds Bank has announced that the Falkland Islands have been added to the list of countries where individuals are able to apply for one of their International Current Accounts and/or Savings Accounts.

Paraguay and Uruguay prepare for new scenario with stronger Argentine peso

Following Buenos Aires' announcements regarding the lifting of restrictions to exchange local pesos into US dollars, neighboring Uruguay and Paraguay are preparing for the changes to come. Both countries foresee an increasing influx of Argentine travelers to benefit from the new scenario, which in the case of Paraguay also includes a depreciating guaraní.

PAHO insists on the importance of universal access to care

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) released a report Tuesday warning about the need to bolster public health capacities to ensure universal health access, equity, and resilience against challenges like Covid-19. The “Implementation of the Essential Public Health Functions in the Americas: Evaluation and Strengthening of Capacities” study was based on evaluations in 14 countries between 2021 and 2023.

Brazilians buy less food due to inflation, Datafolha study finds

A Datafolha survey published Sunday revealed that 58% of Brazilians have reduced food purchases due to rising inflation, which hit 5.48% annually by March 2025. When measured amongst the poorest strata of society (people with an income of up to two minimum wages), 67% were forced to adopt contingency measures.

Adorni to resign as Milei's spokesman
