CAF bond placement to strengthen Paraguayan agribusiness SMEs
The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) issued bonds worth ₲ 125 billion (approximately US$ 15.6 million) in Paraguay’s capital market, with a historic 5-year term and a 6.65% annual coupon rate. This is the longest-term issuance by a multilateral institution in Paraguay’s history and CAF’s third bond issuance in guaraníes, following a prior issuance of ₲ 197.5 billion.

He made those remarks after declaring a nationwide emergency given the outbreak of this lethal malady. “We must do it and our health system must guarantee it,” Petro underlined.

Guyana rejects Chinese diplomat's suggestion of friendly negotiations with Caracas
Guyana’s Foreign Ministry rejected a statement by China’s Chargé d’Affaires Huang Rui, urging Georgetown and Caracas to resolve their border dispute over the Essequibo region through friendly negotiations, despite stressing that China “never intervenes in the internal affairs of other countries.”
