The further Brazil distances itself from the United States, the better it will be for the Brazilian people.

I can only thank Donald Trump for this huge push he has given Brazil.

In addition to orange juice, coffee, oil, and chocolate (cocoa), I would include a complete ban on the export of niobium (a rare earth), responsible for the thermal insulation of rockets and missiles. Brazil produces 92% of all niobium in the world (2022). The amount of niobium purchased by the US should be directed to the BRICS countries, as requested by China and Russia.

Another opportunity I envision is to redirect the amount of steel currently exported to the US for consumption in the Brazilian market, offering investment programs in infrastructure and housing that improve our economic competitiveness.

And finally, not to negotiate anything with the United States while Trump's Nazi government calls the shots there.

Ouch, that is going to hurt.

Probably cause a recession in Brazil.

Unless of course the friendly neighbourhood BRICS countries come to the rescue, Russians are in the market for any kind of drones that Brazil could manufacture.

The United States and the entire Anglosphere represent less than 14% of our exports. The trade agreements signed during the BRICS summit last week alone have opened markets that will increase our exports by 30% by 2027.

Every year, the Anglosphere becomes increasingly unimportant to our economy. This includes the dollar.

Brazil was the country that grew the most in the first quarter of 2025 in the WORLD!

Recession? Only in your wildest dreams.

Then why is 9 fingers complaining so bitterly about it, if it’s such a good thing???

Complaining is part of the game. In Brazil, we have a saying: if you don't cry, you don't get milk.

So, Lula needs breast milk from the US.

Oh dear what a pity. 16.1% of our coffee exports will now be taxed another 50% by the USA.
35% of all coffee sold in the USA is grown in Brazil.
Starbucks customers will be so upset. Their cup of coffee is going up.
Remember that the levy is for purely economic grounds. I never realised that the failed Bolsonaro coup had such an economic effect on the “USA Economy”.

Already over 30% of Brazilian trade is with China and only a third of that with the US, historically the major trading partner. This will accelerate that shift. Good thing I brought several kilos of Brazilian coffee last time out.

Time to switch to Japanese green tea,as it has a lot of caffeine. As for China, I understand coffee drinking is becoming popular there
