Brazilian civil aviation serves increasing number of passengers

Peter Lamelas, Donald Trump's ambassador-designate to Argentina, reiterated Tuesday during his confirmation hearing before the US Senate that his country was neutral regarding the Falkland/Malvinas Islands issue. Bolsonaro denies noncompliance with De Moraes' restrictions

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro denied Tuesday any violation of the social media ban imposed on him by Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre De Moraes. The defense's statement came after the judge's ruling on Monday to give Bolsonaro 24 hours to explain his violation of the injunction, one of the measures imposed on him last week. Violation of the injunction could lead to Bolsonaro's preventive detention.

Argentine Deputy Foreign Minister fails to meet Milei's standards

Eduardo Bustamante resigned on Friday as Argentina's Secretary of Foreign Affairs (Deputy Foreign Minister), but the news would only become public on Tuesday when it appeared in the latest issue of the Official Gazette. At least that remains the official version. According to Clarín, he was sacked because he “didn't measure up” and “did things that strayed from the established line.” He had been appointed by former Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, who was also booted by President Javier Milei.
