G77 + China reaffirms support for Argentina over Falklands sovereignty and natural resources

The Group of 77 + China has reiterated its “strong support” for Argentina’s sovereignty claims over the Falkland Islands and surrounding maritime areas, urging Buenos Aires and London to resume negotiations to find a peaceful resolution to the long-standing dispute. Read full article

    Sorry Argentina - British Flag was first raised over the Islands 260 years ago.
    First recorded British landing from a Royal Navy ship was approx 75 years even earlier.

    That message goes to China and Isreal as well. Keep your noses out of our bussiness. Both countries are run by dictators. One of them is going to extract the oil .Going to be interesting whete Isreal loyalty lies when that happens.

    Why?

    Vattel's “Law of Nations” (1758) emphasizes that sovereignty over unoccupied lands requires actual occupation and settlement, not just discovery or brief presence. In the Falklands, Argentina's 1820s efforts were short-lived and contested, while Britain's since 1833 has been continuous.

    Argentina is barred from using “territorial integrity” as an argument. As it is a post UN law and cannot be applied retroactively.

    Whatever happened before, Argentina's assault and war on the British Falkland Islands, and UK's recovery of the islands settles all claims. The Falkland Islands are British. The End.
