A major new analysis has confirmed the UK’s British Antarctic Survey (BAS) as the world’s leading center for Antarctic and Southern Ocean research. This was revealed during the Antarctic treaty Consultive Meeting, ATCM, recent May meeting in Japan that convened Antarctic Leaders and government official from across the world. Read full article

Is there any chance of discovering where Argentina sits in the table of quality Antarctic research, given their obsessive interest and “non-negotiable” claim(s), to vast areas of the continent and surrounding seas?

Argentinian bases in British Antarctic Territory, are run and maintained by the Argentinian military, any science done is an afterthought.
