    Milei confirms Bullrich will be his Security Minister

    The PRO Chairwoman and former presidential candidate held that position under Macri

    The Office of Argentina's President-Elect (@OPEArg) Friday confirmed Patricia Bullrich would return to her position as Security Minister once Javier Milei is sworn in on Dec. 10. The Chairwoman of former President Mauricio Macri's Propuesta Republicana party (PRO) held that job between 2015 and 2019. In the Oct. 22 elections, she failed to make it through to the Nov. 19 runoff so both she and Macri announced they would support Milei's candidacy against Economy Minister Sergio Massa.

    The terrorist group Hamas Tuesday released ten women, four of them Argentine nationals, in exchange for another batch of 30 Palestinian inmates held by Israel at the Ofer prison in the West Bank and in the Russian prison in Jerusalem, as the humanitarian truce was extended to allow for further swaps. Two other hostages were also freed as a bonus not contemplated in the agreement.

    Outbreak of equine encephalomyelitis in several Argentine provinces

     SENASA reports that all establishments or farms which notified such symptoms and death of horses have been interdicted with absolute movement restriction for all equines.

    Argentina's Animal Health and Food Quality Service, SENASA, has officially reported positive results of alphavirus, equine encephalomyelitis from regional labs in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Corrientes and Santa Fe, where samples of nervous or dying horses were collected.
