Falklands' visitors growing satisfaction, according to TripAdvsor ratings

The Falkland Islands Tourist Board annual assessment of TripAdvisor ratings shows that the overall satisfaction of visitors to the Islands increased in 2019. There are almost 5,000 ratings of accommodation, attractions, pubs, restaurants, and tours in the Falklands on TripAdvisor, with 600 of these being posted over the last 12 months.

Falkland Islands: one positive antibody test in March, but no coronavirus results for over sixty days

The Falkland Islands government has confirmed that one individual has tested positive for Coronavirus antibodies. Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rebecca Edwards, said that it is likely that the individual was exposed in late February or early March, and exposure is thought to have taken place on a fishing vessel.

Falklands Covid-19 support measures total £8 million; inflation 0,03% in fourth quarter

The Falkland Islands Standing Finance Committee has revealed that the government has funded Covid-19 support measures to the tune of £7.983 million. The spending has been offset by underspends from a number of government departments, including Education and Natural Resources, while the Islands Plan budget is expected to underspend by nearly half a million pounds.

Falklands' Covid-19 battle: 50 days with no cases and 1,027 swab tests, most of them processed in the Islands

More than a thousand swabs have now been taken in the Falkland Islands for COVID-19. To date, 1027 tests have been processed, of which 600 have been carried out in the Islands using Stanley's hospital, KEMH, and its new PCR analyser. It has been more than 50 days since the last positive test for COVID-19 in the Falklands.
