  HMS Sceptre left Gibraltar.

  As expected the British nuclear powered submarine HMS Sceptre left
  this morning at 09.00 local time clearing the harbour under its own
  power and quickly passing down the center of the Bay of Gibraltar.

  Controversial submarine leaves Gibraltar Wednesday.

  A storm has erupted over the visit of the British nuclear powered submarine HMS Sceptre, a 27-year-old vessel. The submarine arrived last week for what British authorities described as routine maintenance on its diesel engine. There is no suggestion that the nuclear reactor has any defect.

  Mike Summers, this month's spokesperson for the eight elected members of the Falkland Islands Legislative Council said today (Tuesday) that he and his colleagues were taking a “relaxed” view of the meeting last week in Cartagena, Colombia, between Foreign Office Minister with responsibility for British Territories, Bill Rammell and Argentine Foreign Minister, Rafael Bielsa.
