Multiple events are to be held across Argentina Sunday marking Veterans Day 41 years after the military Junta's troops landed in Stanley (then renamed Puerto Argentino) thus kicking off the 1982 Falkland/Malvinas War with the United Kingdom.
On Tuesday 28 March, ExCo approved for the publication of the Prison audit outcomes and approved the recommendation to increase staffing at His Majesty’s Prison in Stanley by three officers. The audit was requested by the Falkland Islands Government and Government House as a result of concerns raised during the incarceration of three disruptive and violent prisoners during 2020.

In August 2022 the Falkland Islands ExCo approved a set of recommendations on the way that Camp Education is provided to families. The recommendations were made after extensive consultation with the communities in Camp and in Stanley during the Camp Education Review. A key objective of the review was ensuring that children in Camp and Stanley have the same standard of education.
Using water, a finite resource efficiently has many benefits, not only to consumers but also to the wider Falkland Islands community and environment. Simple behavioral changes such as taking showers instead of baths, turning taps off whilst cleaning teeth, and using watering cans instead of hosepipes can significantly reduce the amount of water we use on a daily basis. This would also save energy, both in homes as well as at the water treatment plant which is great for both saving money as well as for the environment.
