  Falklands will have a new port in three/four years; FIG can afford the “indicative pricing”

  

  The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) last week announced that it has chosen BAM-Nutall as its development partner to build a new port with a lifetime of fifty years. This week more details of the major project, to be developed in three stages and which is expected to be completed in three/four years were revealed by members of the local government.

  IMF: Argentine debt is not sustainable, a meaningful contribution from private creditors is required

  

  An IMF team, led by Julie Kozack Deputy Director of the Western Hemisphere Department and Luis Cubeddu Mission chief for Argentina, visited Buenos Aires from February 12 to 19, 2020 to discuss the recent macroeconomic developments and learn more about the Argentine authorities’ economic plans and policies.   Jaguar Land Rover has flown in parts in suitcases as the effects of coronavirus take a toll on the carmaker's supply chain. It said it could start to run out of Chinese parts for its UK factories after two weeks.

  South Georgia readying the wharf to support “Sir David Attenborough”

  BAM Nuttall Ltd, which has been selected by the Falkland Islands Government, FIG, as the development partner to design and build a new port in Stanley Harbour is no adventurer in the South Atlantic and is closely linked to the UK efforts and investments in Antarctica. In effect, BAM Nuttall is involved in the building of the British Antarctic Survey's largest facility at Rothera Research station.

  Argentine president Alberto Fernandez said that the country “needs more time” to honor its debt with the IMF and underlined he would like “a commitment of the Fund with Argentina”.   Falkland Islands announces partner to develop new port

  

  The Falkland Islands Government (FIG) announced on Thursday it has selected a development partner to design and build a new port in Stanley Harbour. After an extensive global procurement process, FIG is pleased to announce that it has agreed to BAM Nuttall Ltd as its development partner, subject to successful conclusion of contract. The aim is for the contract to be agreed and signed by the end of March 2020.
